The Pilot’s Watch Automatic 36 is designed for watch lovers with a slightly smaller wrist who appreciate the understatement of a timeless wristwatch. The dial design for this elegant three-hand watch remains sleek and simple. An eye-­catching feature on the Pilot’s Watches is the slightly recessed inner circle, which lends the dial a sense of structure and depth. The Pilot’s Watch Automatic 36 with a brown dial comes with a dark brown alligator leather strap from Santoni. The date display at “3 o’clock” tells the wearer the current day of the month. Although sportiness is not a priority for this watch, which is water-resistant to 6 bar, it is certainly “airworthy”, as the movement is enclosed in a soft-iron inner case for increased protection against magnetic fields. The mechanical 35111­-calibre automatic movement has a power reserve of 42 hours.

My favourite watch is the Blancpain Villeret Quantième Complet. It is actually a men’s model, but I think the watch with 40 mm diameter looks breathtakingly beautiful on a woman, too. The classic complete calendar with Blancpain’s signature moon phase looks stunning with its simple elegance. Each function on the complete calendar can be adjusted individually using the practically invisible under-lug correctors.

Founded in 1735, Blancpain is the oldest watch brand in the world. The Villeret models have barely been aesthetically altered since the early days of Blancpain, yet they still look very contemporary. They have become a timeless classic that is a dependable accessory for generations.

I particularly like this ZENITH Defy Midnight 36 mm for the watch’s combination of features and unique selling points. Firstly, it has an extraordinary colour gradient on the dial, which is highly attractive. You can easily pair the watch with different colourful straps yourself if you find the steel bracelet version too traditional. Try a suitably black strap on one side and a grey one on the other. It is sure to look amazing! Secondly, this model boasts excellent technical credentials thanks to the ZENITH Elite manufacture movement. Overall, it is excellent value for money given what the timepiece offers.
