As part of the Five Deeps Expedition, the Ultra Deep made history with its journey to the deepest point on earth in 2019. Following this world record dive, the watch has now been redesigned for a unique collection that will be offered for sale to the public. Developed under real underwater conditions, the design features water resistance to a depth of 6,000 metres (20,000 feet) and complies with ISO 6425:2018, the standard for saturation diver watches. Made from robust O-MEGASTEEL, this 45.5mm model features a polished black ceramic bezel with a Liquidmetal™ diving scale. Through the protruding domed sapphire crystal, a lacquered dial with a colour gradient from blue to black and hands and indices in 18K white gold coated with white Super-LumiNova can be seen. The watch is held on the wrist by an O-MEGASTEEL bracelet with OMEGA's patented PUSH folding clasp and extra diver's extension, while the Grade 5 titanium medallion on the case back has been laser-engraved with a sonar symbol and the iconic OMEGA seahorse in the centre. The watch is powered by the OMEGA Co-Axial Master Chronometer calibre 8912.

My favourite watch is the Blancpain Villeret Quantième Complet. It is actually a men’s model, but I think the watch with 40 mm diameter looks breathtakingly beautiful on a woman, too. The classic complete calendar with Blancpain’s signature moon phase looks stunning with its simple elegance. Each function on the complete calendar can be adjusted individually using the practically invisible under-lug correctors.

Founded in 1735, Blancpain is the oldest watch brand in the world. The Villeret models have barely been aesthetically altered since the early days of Blancpain, yet they still look very contemporary. They have become a timeless classic that is a dependable accessory for generations.
