Panerai Submersible Chrono Guillaume Nery Edition is a special edition honouring free-diving luminary Guillaume Nery. Nery held the freediving world record several times and won numerous championships during his active career. His signature is engraved on the back of this complex timepiece.

 

The precision chronograph with flyback function and a diameter of 47mm is made for large wrists. The lightweight titanium case is perfectly combined with the blue ceramic bezel, blue hands and blue rubber strap, underscoring the connection to the element water. The unidirectional rotating bezel enables the dive time to be calculated with certainty, while the skeletonized hands with Super-LumiNova coating guarantee optimum readability in the dark. The manufacture movement P.9100 has two spring barrels and a power reserve of 3 days. With the built-in mechanism for resetting the second hand, the watch can be perfectly synchronized with a reference signal. Water-resistant to 30 bar, this timepiece withstands even the most difficult conditions.

My favourite watch is the Blancpain Villeret Quantième Complet. It is actually a men’s model, but I think the watch with 40 mm diameter looks breathtakingly beautiful on a woman, too. Each function on the complete calendar can be adjusted individually using the practically invisible under-lug correctors.

Founded in 1735, Blancpain is the oldest watch brand in the world. The Villeret models have barely been aesthetically altered since the early days of Blancpain, yet they still look very contemporary. They have become a timeless classic that is a dependable accessory for generations.

I particularly like this ZENITH Defy Midnight 36 mm for the watch’s combination of features and unique selling points. Overall, it is excellent value for money given what the timepiece offers.
