The Panerai Submersible Mike Horn Edition was created in collaboration with world-renowned explorer, sailor and environmental activist Mike Horn. Mike Horn is probably one of the most famous adventurers of modern times. Whether circumnavigating the Arctic Circle on his own or hiking through the Amazon rainforest, Mike Horn knows no limits - as does Panerai.

 

The lightweight Submersible 47mm, made entirely of eco-titanium, once again demonstrates Panerai's pioneering spirit in the field of sustainable raw material processing. The case, crown protection bridge, bezel and case back are all made from recycled titanium, while the robust bracelet is made from recycled plastic. The dial is a bit more modern than what we are used to from the standard Submersibles, the engraved unidirectional rotating bezel almost looks retro. Trained eyes recognize that the lettering is not printed on the dial but on the underside of the sapphire crystal, which gives the watch its very own charm. Powered by the manufacture caliber P.9010 and water-resistant to 30 bar, this strong timepiece masters every challenge.

My favourite watch is the Blancpain Villeret Quantième Complet. It is actually a men’s model, but I think the watch with 40 mm diameter looks breathtakingly beautiful on a woman, too. Each function on the complete calendar can be adjusted individually using the practically invisible under-lug correctors.
