The round stainless-steel case with a diameter of 40 mm and teardrop-shaped lugs give the timepiece virtually unparalleled sleekness. Fine, rhodium-plated hour markers, hour and minute hands from the centre and a subtle seconds hand at 6 o’clock adorn the white dial. It is topped off with a black alligator leather strap. Parmigiani Fleurier has created a modern dress watch and provides an option for those looking for an affordable haute horlogerie timepiece. Powered by the Tonda PF702 calibre with integrated tungsten micro-rotor, it is a watch that really exudes Parmigiani Fleurier’s craftsmanship.

My favourite watch is the Blancpain Villeret Quantième Complet. It is actually a men’s model, but I think the watch with 40 mm diameter looks breathtakingly beautiful on a woman, too. The classic complete calendar with Blancpain’s signature moon phase looks stunning with its simple elegance. Each function on the complete calendar can be adjusted individually using the practically invisible under-lug correctors.

Founded in 1735, Blancpain is the oldest watch brand in the world. The Villeret models have barely been aesthetically altered since the early days of Blancpain, yet they still look very contemporary. They have become a timeless classic that is a dependable accessory for generations.
